No one said anything about loans. Tuition is already dirt cheap, if not free, for students from low-income families.

Most people aren't aware of this because the progressives arguing for free tuition aren't actually poor, they generally come from comfortable backgrounds like AOC does. And actual poor students aren't making it into college in the first place to take advantage of low tuition cost, which is my point.

Since tuition isn't the main barrier for poor people getting into college, making it free does nothing to help them. You can't give people free storage space for their yachts and then pretend it's not a handout for the rich. Rich kids going to college and getting even richer isn't a problem, we don't need to be paying for it.
