Going on Sanders website I dont see how exactly his guarantees it be free college education, unless I am reading it wrong. Happy to be corrected.

it seems that his plan is that the federal govt will match state spending for college tuition but it doesnt say what the requirements are.

it also doesnt specify how a college would not qualify from getting this funding. unsure how his (or any of the plans) would prevent colleges from way over charging the fed govt on what tuition should cost.

so a public university system can choose whether to join Sanders program or not. Also doesnt tackle if states will be penalized for charging out of state tuition to people applying out of state. Because in California we greatly subsidize our university system with the expectation to help California residents children.

If we go down this route I would want to see

1. How to make sure colleges dont just jack up rates on fed government because obviously that model is not sustainable

2. A fair system that reimburses colleges for costs from the fed government that doesnt cause the university to regress.

3. A system in place to prevent a person being a student for life, while also not having an unattended consequence of masters, ph.d, or teaching credentialing classes explode in costs

Im not opposed to tuition being funded by federal government, I just want more details before I can yell yaaasss qweeeen. Cuz Sanders plan vague AF
