IIRC, sleep darts are pretty useless. They realize they've been darted and alert other people before they go down. The game definitely lacked some tools for stealth/no kill runs, but I found it pretty rewarding. I did have to do a little bit of an exploit in a later mission because helping Granny Rags in the early game creates a mission where you have to kill someone.

You also might not want it since you say the game's easy, but there's a bone-charm which massively helps with stealth runs. It reduces the time it takes to choke out someone to almost nothing. Bone charms are random, but there are certain ones you can save scum to reroll on.
Not true. Sleep darts are incredibly effective, and they're basically one of your only tools if you want to play non-lethally.

If you're enjoying this one, definitely give the sequel a try. As far as gameplay goes, it does everything significantly better than the first one. Dishonored 2 is a much more difficult game (though it can still be cheesed), and you also have a much broader array of options for taking out enemies non-lethally.

By the way, if you're getting tired of spamming Blink, I highly recommend using Possession to navigate. It's quite fun.
