I think spectral evidence was admitted in the US by the Court of Oyer and Terminer in Salem, Massachusetts in 1692. Essentially, witnesses may testify about what they saw in dreams or visions for the truth value of the dream or vision. For instance, someone could testify that they had a dream in which they saw Hillary Clinton meeting with the former President of Ukraine and coordinating the rigging of the 2016 election.
