Again, calling a 17 year old a kid doesn't mean you instantly view them as a baby or an infant. They're a kid. a teenage kid. That much is just a fact. You can be a very mature kid. You can be a kid who is vastly more mature than a 35 year old who calls you a kid...it doesn't change the fact that you're still, for the moment, a kid by definition.
