rofl, who the fuck cares about lard getting "toppled"? Is there a shred of evidence that shows crisco has demonstrated significantly more negative health impacts compared to lard? since as far as i know, the evidence would point to the exact contrary. maybe the bigger concern should be cutting our intake of saturated fats, rather than if our saturated fats come from an oil with a pretty name? this is such a dumb fucking take. marketing and the ubiquity of processed foods as created problems for the american diet, but the fact that lard isn't as popular as it was 100 years ago isn't one of them. this is the kind pearl clutching you see from facebook mom memes hemming and hawing about how you shouldn't eat anything with ingredients you can't pronounce, or how you should shoot chamomile up your ass because it's more "natural" than eating evil GMO produce
