What this means is the japanese public, after hearing about this, is not going to want to purchase either Pokemon Sword or Shield, nor will they purchase any more Pokemon games. This is HUGE. You can laugh all you want, but Game Freak has alienated an entire market with this move. Game Freak, publicly apologize and cancel Pokemon Sword and Shield for Switch or you can kiss your business goodbye. As someone who lives in Japan. Nah. Assholes screw over people all the time here. Power harassment and putting up with abuse at a company that is illegal and would never be tolerated in other first world countries is common.
