Topic	ripped out an enormous hang nail last night and it's already painfully ingrown

So it hurts but it's not like kidney stones or anything. I can't agree. The worst ingrowns are worse than a constantly stubbed toe. It's much more of a sharp pain, and it isn't necessarily constant. Imagine having a blunt needle a centimeter under your skin, slowly but surely extending out towards the surface. So every tiny bit of pressure on that skin is just pressure added to the pointy end of the blunt needle.
