So I checked out BTS.

It's interesting. I like it better than the girl k-pop bands that I have seen.

A few take aways.

I don't think they are effeminate, but more what you would see a man look like if they used makeup and fashion to try and appeal to a woman as much as many women do to appeal to men. Their movements and body language do not strike me as feminine in any way (in fact are quite masculine).

Alot of their dance moves are reminiscent of micheal jackson and later on Justin Timberlake etc.
When I watched girl k-pop, it seemed like fan service to me, or just girls moving around for guys to watch.
Perhaps that is the same but for girls, but being a guy I can't notice it, seems more like dance moves, which
makes me think the moves by the girl k-pop singer/dancers might have been the same, i just saw it from a male
perspective.

Reminds me alot of some korean shows/movies like Valcano High I have watched (which I liked). Wish there was more like that (in the US). They have some on netflix etc, but not very much.

Still, over all, not my cup of tea for music, but I can respect them as a group and a type of music.
