Windwaker describes a sudden, massive flood, taking place between it and the Adult Time-Line ending of OoT. What would happen to a very heavy species that cannot swim, that is reliant on rocks for sustenance, when suddenly the sea levels greatly rise without warning? Sure, I do not think the games ever explicetly state it, but obviously many drowned in the original flood and probably a whole lot more starved during the time where they tried to find a new home. --- Official Teetotaller of PotD Dovie'andi se tovya sagain! ...
