Topic	How strong are the lightsabers supposed to be?
Bulbasaur 05/05/20 6:13:02 PM #3:	they can cut through generally everything, but they can't just do it instantly. blast doors are meant to withstand, well, blast fires. moreso on a ship. take the first movie, it took qui gon like a minute to even pierce a normal door. the fact that the sister slashing the door left a mark on the inside of the door was kinda too much. hell, even the movies are inconsistent with how lightsabers can cut in general. vader chops lukes hand off instantly, same for when anakins limbs get cut instantly, and yet we've also seen people just get real fucked up and not lose limbs when slashed with a lightsaber. --- plop <cite>Bulbasaur posted [p:938663898] in How strong...
