Calling wrestling a soap opera for men has been a common insult to wrestling for as long as I've been alive lol the joke he's making isn't that wrestling is fake or even that it sucks. The joke he's making is that wrestling fans are dumb and they're all feeding into it. Everything gets made fun of and talked down about. If you love something, you're not entitled to everyone else loving and respecting at as much as you. Again, the comparison the rap music. It gets the same type of treatment by people who think it's all gangbangers and twerking.
