Topic	NASCAR bans Confederate flags at its races and other events.

The thing I don't understand about the south and the confederate flag is typically you think of the south as being more "patriotic", yet they almost warship this flag that represents rebels who wanted to secede from the union. How could that be considered patriotic at all? Because America is DEEPLY rooted in being anti establishment and showing a strong opposition to tyranny. Oddly enough, being anti-government is considered patriotic by many because the country was founded on the principle of rebellion and small government and basically being hyper vigilant about watching out for government power grabs. Not defending the confederate flag but trying to explain the pathology behind confederate flag wavers. It's a symbol of rebellion against big government to them.
