Regardless it's not your fault if she goes down a certain path which hopefully she doesn't. In time she'll also figure her life out. If she makes choices to date certain guys that aren't at your level well that's her loss. She'll do what makes her happy and you do what makes you. The salt on the wound feeling is shitty no less.
