Middleweight Tournament

Match 1: Villager vs. Lucario

Sephiroth: Villager had a surprise win last week, but Lucario has looked like the favorite in this tournament so far. Hell be tough to beat.

*Both fighters battle evenly at first, and they quickly end up duking it out off the stage. They almost get trapped under the stage, but they manage to get back. They continue to trade blows, neither one getting a clear advantage. Lucario knocks Villager off the side and tries to land a couple of meteor strikes but cant quite hit them. A Smash Ball appears, and Villager launches Lucario off the top of the stage with his up-smash as he cracks it open (Villager 3-2)*

Crono: Uh oh, Villager takes the early lead and is in good position to extend it right now!

*When Lucario returns, he dashes straight up to Villager and blasts him with his side-smash to KO him before he can use his Final Smash (2-2)*

Sephiroth: Lucario was well aware of the danger he was in, so he dealt with it as quickly as possible.

*As the match continues, the two fighters stay evenly matched, trading blows and building percentage at roughly the same rate. They meet in the air and Lucario nearly launches Villager with his up-air. A Smash Ball appears, and Lucario gets it. He uses his Final Smash immediately to KO Villager (Lucario 2-1)*

Crono: That Final Smash is tough to deal with for anyone.

*Villager aggressively charges after Lucario to get a quick KO. He pockets a fully charged Lucario projectile and nearly hits him with it when he unleashes it a bit later. He spams his projectile repeatedly to build his percentage and then eventually nails him with his side-air for the KO (1-1)*

Sephiroth: Villager is a sizable underdog here, but hes fighting like someone who expects to win.

*Once again, the two fight very far below the stage, and Lucario repeatedly hits him trying to drive him down too far beyond recovery but with no success. They continue to rack up damage on each other as another Smash Ball appears. Lucario grabs it and uses his Final Smash to end the match (Lucario wins, 1-0)*

Sephiroth: Lucario wins! That was his toughest test yet, but he manages to survive and advance.

Crono: This was a slobberknocker that lasted nearly five minutes. Villager dealt more damage despite taking two Final Smashes and never getting to use the one he got. Lucario having such a devastating finisher proves to be a valuable advantage in these close matches.
