I really wish there was more on this tbh, as it's weird nobody talks about the difference between breathing through your nose and your mouth and how easy it is to spread things.

Logically if you breathe in through your nose and out through your mouth, you should be just protecting others just as good as if your nose was covered as well.

There is of course more of a chance for YOU to get the virus, obviously, but from what I understand that is reduced only a tiny bit by wearing a mask, it's mainly the fact that if everyone wears a mask it prevents them from spreading it, which makes it much safer for everyone else.

So if everyone wore a mask that covered their mouth, but not their nose, wouldn't it be just about the same amount of protection?

Obviously if it's not a massive problem for you, just wear the mask normally, but I can't be the only person who has a serious problem wearing a mask for more than 10 minutes or so.

I mean, if your gonna sneeze or something obviously cover your nose at that point, but otherwise you really shouldn't be expelling stuff when you breathe out from it, your not doing so when talking (Because it's through the mask), so it SHOULD be fairly safe.

But nobody talks about it at all.

There are a few general articles about it beign good to breathe through the nose as an extra layer of defense like this, but nothing specific about reducing the spread by doing so.
