My wife, technically qualified, although she only really liked Wii games and later on mobile games like bejewled etc. Still she did play video games with me (and we met like 23 years ago, and she was a bit older than me). Now adays there are tons of "real" gamer girls, it's crazy to even argue there are not. I had a friend who had a GF that literally considered her boyfriend helping her get loot in a game the sexist/best thing he could do for her lol. They played games nonstop together and he worked at gamestop. So yeah, there are plenty of real gamer girls out there.
