| s0nicfan 07/29/20 3:56:04 PM #14: | I've got a 9 year old dog who is very fluffy and I can take him on walks in 90 plus degree heat. As much as possible, try and keep him on grass. The rough test is to put your palm on the pavement and if it hurts after 3 seconds than it is too hot for your dog. Dogs have a higher body temperature than we do so they don't perceive heat the same way. Bring water and pay attention to your dogs mannerisms. Take breaks in the shade if necessary, or let them spend a little more time sniffing around and a little less time walking.
