The natural competition would be to form a counter-union... I mean, this can't happen with police since police are technically a monopoly, but like if there was a Fast Food Workers Union and it got too powerful, instead of shutting down entirely the companies would hire non-union people who in turn could form a counter-union to underbid the main union while also getting more benefits than non-union people. --- "Salt cures Everything!"
