Topic	My friend has a heroin addiction and I want to help.

It still gets you high, and it's expensive, and you have to go to a clinic every single day, and it's almost impossible to get off of. Suboxone, on the other hands, does not get you high, is covered by most insurances, and you only have to see a doctor once a month. It is still extremely hard to get off of, but it satisfies the part of the brain that makes you crave heroin, and you still have the ability to work and function and not be high all the time. So if you can come to peace with perhaps having to take it forever, it's really the best case scenario. Nothing else has a high success rate, though it is possible to just stop using heroin and never do it again.
