The methadone was almost worse than actual heroin, tbh. Everything was the same, only she was way more high, way more consistently. When she got on Suboxone everything changed, she's like back to being herself again. Never high, never broke, wants to do stuff and talk to people and generally be a functioning member of society. If you can look at it like a disease, and come to terms with taking a pill every day forever just like you would with high blood pressure or whatever, it's really great. Obviously she had a lot of work to do with the accompanying therapy or whatever her program is, but it really changed everything for her. Can't recommend it enough, if your friend is willing. --- ...
