But Jabba the Hutt is not cool. Real gangsters do not want to be identified with Jabba the Hutt.

This is actually a good point. The problem with anti-heroes like this is that people identify with them, and their egos get in the way of any message the work of art may have about the anti-hero's behavior. Ironically, Jabba the Hutt is a much more *realistic* portrait of a gangster than any Corleone, or Tony Montana.
