You do realize when we rehabilitate someone, we don't just let them walk free while we're doing it, right? Rehabilitation still requires punishment and they still go to prison for an extended period of time. Hey, if Trump was actively in prison right now then you might have a point. But he's still out there, making poor decisions that are actively killing Americans. Your comparison might make sense if we're still letting the killers go free while we rehab them, and letting them to continue to kill.
