I dont see how, there are as many ways to store your crypto as there are coins, including offline and hardware wallets that are essentially as safe as can be, far safer than USD.

It doesn't really matter if people are right about Jim Watkins being Q, or partially Q (which I think is the case, the man could easily be arrested for child pornography if they wanted to do so, and he created a super PAC to support Qanon related candidates and has constantly spoken in favor of Q related causes). The intelligence community knows who Q is. If they have been capable of getting away with posting things and creating a cult that is a national security threat for 4 years, the only reasonable explanation is that they are fine with the results of it. Just like they were fine with Jeffrey Epstein for many years because he gave them blackmail they could use and sold weapons on their behalf. Virginia is only blue because of NoVA. While I think it's fair to say it's reliably blue at the federal level, at the state level I could totally see a non-crazy (i.e. center leaning) Republican taking the next governorship if they can move the needle in Fairfax and Loudoun counties.

I don't think that's actually at all likely given how hard and total the rejection of the GOP has been there these past few years, but hypothetically if some Republican could do well there they might have a chance. It's not entirely without precedent when you have states like Maryland and Massachusetts electing quote-unquote "sane" Republicans for statewide office, up to and including governor, despite being safe blue states

Eh, maybe I'm just more sympathetic here because I think there's a definite line between what I think was the intention in that post and the sentiments that use the same language in a "Well, in Real America..." or "Well, if you just ignore California and New York..." where it's 100% "other"-izing blue states/areas/urban centers and trying to dismiss millions of people as lesser.

I can get the snap reaction because, again, the language would be near - if not exactly - identical but I definitely get a different impression from the post and that matters, IMO.

and also because again a good chunk of blue states like to elect republicans because the voters who support them (i. e. basically all voters outside the Republican party) value compromise and bipartisanship even as political warfare becomes more and more asymmetrical in this regard

Yes, this is precisely what I meant. Virginia has only turned blue because of the growth of Northern Virginia (i.e. the suburbs/exurbs of D.C.). But outside of Arlington and Alexandria, it wasn't that long ago that those same locations were red (or red-ish).

I could totally see a Larry Hogan type being able to win statewide office. Now some might call Hogan a RINO but from my perspective he seems to have done a pretty good job of generally being a decent governor in a neighboring state that is definitely more blue.

A wacko right winger or someone like Tommy Tuberville is NOT winning in VA like they could in more deep south states. But put up the current democrat Lt Gov Justin Fairfax (who's had some controversies) against a sensible candidate who happens to have an R next to their name?
