(First Thoughts: Well, its not the worst example of this genre Ive ever heard, but that beat... can we just stop with the repetitive THUMP THUMP THUMP beats? Theyre the type of thing that doesnt get high scores or manage to be so triggering they get last place either and I cant imagine anyone enjoying me complaining about pulsing beats for the 500,000th time.)

Well, Im not bothered by the beat at all tonight, so thats a drastic improvement. I still cant think of anything I particularly like about the song or want to talk about though.

(First Thoughts: Should have nominated the TV show theme instead of this extended dance remix. Taking a song I really like and making it worse in every way is not exactly a recipe for a high score.

Surprised I never heard the extended version before. Though I think I might prefer the intro version? Songs neat, but I dont know that stretching it to three minutes really helps anything.)

Dont really have anything else to add to that. This just takes a song Ive loved for years and remakes it into a genre that I have no interest in. I love the original song too much to actively dislike this version, but its a big drop in quality (in terms of things I want to listen to, anyway.)

...Also its unrelated, but its funny you mention not nominating this as the Pokemon Music Topic. I came very close to nominating the version of this song from Pokemon Puzzle League, but held off because a MIDI remix of an anime song felt like it was stretching the definition a bit too far.

When the song starts, I fear that Id been too harsh on it. Sure, its not the version I know, but different isnt bad... but the choruses bring in that pulsing beat; its short lived and not so loud as to be really bad, but it does bring the song down a bit. The original intro has a very smooth feel to it (no, I still dont know what I mean by that, but I know it when I hear it) that this remix does away with.

...Inexplicably the nominated version of the song doesnt feel like it drags on, while the extended version of the TV theme feels like its pointlessly extended. TV Version > Movie Version > Extended Version.]
