She then cautiously says "Please don't be alarmed, it's me." and steps out to reveal she's now over a foot taller than you, muscular, green and immensely powerful, able to lift cars over her head like they were potatoes. She was at the mall when it was attacked by the evil villain Destructo in his attempt to rob the bank. The concussive force of his bombs sent her sailing through the air and made her land in a pool of radioactive neutrino soup that happened to be there. Everyone else who landed in the pool died but somehow your girlfriend's body absorbed it and it caused her to mutate. She's still exactly the same mentally, she is just physically a humanoid tank.
