Same goes with start up; these planes arent meant to be excessively complicated to get flying as thatd defeat half the point of developing anything past a point. The only implausible part of that scene was how fast they were able to get up into the air, because regardless of how long it would have realistically taken for Steve to find his way around the cockpit, even an experience pilot couldnt have gotten a jet like that off the ground in the timeframe he did.
