I kinda figured thats how you wound up with a song from the 40s, but since I dont really know you, there was an off-chance you were just a really big 40s song buff or something. @.@

Either way, I did like and appreciate both songs (as evidenced by them being in the I like this tier), thank you.

Count from the previous post is fixed now. I typod Mega Manas number of remaining songs on that list and somehow didnt catch it; Bane & sergio both had errors when counting songs from earlier in the topic, which should be fixed going forward.

Two more eliminations for the night,, as we officially start the top half.

(Ish. Technically 599 songs doesnt divide evenly, so Im just counting 300 as the start of the top half of songs.)

300: PAT METHENY GROUP - THE ROOTS OF COINCIDENCE:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KAcr39zCvqM

Nominator: @Toxtricity / Mycro (10/15)

Initial Score: 70.02 [#133]
Revised Score: 61.68 [#273]
Final Score: 61.90 [#300]

(First Thoughts: A long song with some good parts in it.)

Another one of those songs where I just listened to it in its entirety twice in a row trying to find something to say and coming up with nothing. I like it, but for one of those complex musical journey songs, it never makes me feel or experience anything. Its just... good music playing in the background for several minutes. Which is good?

[Final Thoughts: I definitely like it, I just have trouble identifying why or finding anything to say about it...]

299: FRUMS - FLASHBACKLOG:

https://frums.bandcamp.com/track/flashbacklog

Nominator: cakophon (18/26)
Source: vignette (14/20)

Initial Score: 71.05 [#115]
Revised Score: 62.64 [#265]
Final Score: 61.94 [#299]

(First Thoughts: [generic one word statement showing approval of song here] )

I still like this song, but trying to focus on the song enough to talk about it is actively painful. Its like.... falling through a busy signal and being bombarded by static and error tones on all sides while someone keeps banging you on the head.

Song works better when I can just space out and not attempt to focus on it or attach words to anything its doing.

[Final Thoughts: Almost two minutes of high chaos. Good as long as Im not trying to focus on it.]
