(First Thoughts: Its another song that does everything I thought I wanted, but I dunno...)

I feel like this might be a bit too close to being soul-crushing for my tastes. I got a heart full of pain should be the type of blunt sadness I want, but it just feels.... too painful, to be quite honest.

So while this does check several boxes for me (I wanted to try listening to this band, I wanted more rap songs, I wanted more sad songs), it doesnt get nearly as high of a score as either of us would have expected.

...Right, Ive been staring blankly at this spot for 20 minutes and have yet to find a single word to say about this song. Its one of those tracks. The ones that just...are.

Not bad enough to be worth complaining about.

Not good enough to be worth praising.

Not mysterious because the singer has told you what its about.

Not worth discussing the meaning because Howard Sterns a bit ego-maniacal and some people are desperate to be seen as good even though they arent are rather direct and uncontroversial?

Not long enough to overstay its welcome.

Not short enough for a is something this short even a song? writeup.

Not especially forgettable.

The song quite simply is.

Blasphemy is always worth a few extra points. And the end of the song, when it slows down a bit, is kinda nice...

I still dont think I quite like this, but the 30 point tier is too low. Gotta bump this up to at least the low 40s.]

[Later: Its a simple thing, but I do like way the song slows down after he shouts wait. Its not quite fourth wall breaking, but its fun. I think Im moving this up to the very low 50s.]

[Still Later: Ehhh... low 60s, maybe? It either has to be the last song of the 50s or one of the very first songs of the 60s... I guess I like this enough to move it up slightly.]

[Final Thoughts: This songs come a long way from the first trip through the list, where it was one of the lowest ranked. Its a pretty massive jump from the I hate this tier to the I like this tier where it wound up.]

(First Thoughts: Should be something I enjoy (comedy song, foreign song, supernatural references), but its not working for me tonight.)

This song is strangely addicting. Hes not my favorite singer by a long shot, but the song is so much fun that it almost doesnt matter. And while Im trying not to let music videos influence me this time around, the dance is also fun.

This is one of those songs that I could see moving further up the list later on. I think Im going to get trapped in a loop of Aww, I dont want to eliminate this yet and keep moving it up for a few days... though obviously its a bit hard to guess how far Ill wind up taking it in the end.

[Final Thoughts: Another in the long line of things I should like more than I actually do, though I do actually like this a fair amount..]
