Topic | How do you feel about a job with no work to do? |
Rotpar 01/06/21 8:40:32 PM #10: | I've done that. My company was the best division in the megacorp so they shut us down, transferred a handful of jobs to another facility and saddled them with everything else a hundred or so people were doing. So, the warehouse had less and less to do while we slowly wrapped up production, fewer parts came in, fewer finished radar simulators went out. We were given the go-ahead; do whatever we wanted, provided what little work was there got done. I spent four months getting paid to surf the web and learn how to play Dwarf Fortress for about six and a half hours a day. --- "But don't give up hope. Everyone is cured sooner or later.
