Someone explain why kryptonite hurts Superman when on planet Krypton, everything is made out of it.It's radioactive. It disrupts the absortion of solar energy and replaces it with said radiation. To a Kryptonian it painfully removes their powers, then kills them. And humans aren't immune. Lex Luthor literally got cancer due to carrying a chunk around 24/7 for years. Would sort of be like if Earth exploded and you got to another planet. Then someone poured nuclear waste all over you. Going "Well It came from Earth and I came from Earth so... I should be fine." doesn't add up. Something about the planet exploding or the core or whatever made the entire debris remaining be soaked in this radiation.
