I dont remember stuff well enough to say for sure if this is true, but I saw comments saying there were some weird shots of her butt during what were otherwise serious scenes in the original game in a way that undercut the seriousness. making these changes is probably the right choice for the actual quality of the game rather than some arbitrary puritanical decision.

I doubt anyone playing the game for the first time will watch these edited scenes and think why arent they focusing the camera on her butt more during this conversation about her father

I don't remember this too well, but yes, I also prefer to make the best possible camera angle that fit the situation
A little fanservice here and there doesn't hurt, but should be kept out of "serious" scenes imo
