Look back to lets say an entry level civic in the 90's. Cheap plastics and cloth used in the cabin, low rent gauges/levers/sound systems/roll up windows/cheap feeling handles, knobs,buttons/sparse safety features/ect.. Yeah that made the cars cheap, but if you compare one side by side with a modern car of the same make/model, the new ones are infinitely more luxurious and a much more pleasant place to be. This comes at a cost.
