Until theres an EV with a range of 300+ miles, costs around the same as a Corolla (and similar size), theyre never going to replace ICE cars. I just saw today that Toyota announced 2 new EVs for next year and wants 70% of their cars to be EVs by 2030. I'm guessing the ones coming out next year will probably still be over 35k though but might qualify for the federal tax credit of $7,500. Hopefully the increasing competition and decreasing battery cost we'll see a good EV under 25K in a few years.
