for me it was more. but yes, it takes a long-ass time and is difficult. you'd basically feel starving all the time, no matter what. i was over 340lbs so all the mumbo jumbo shit ppl usually say to me doesn't apply it all. you can still always be hungry, always missing soda, always missing the foods/quantities you used to eat. it may not go away at all

but even being just "less fat" should start to make you feel better about yourself. not even fit, just less fat. it'll feed into itself and people other than you will notice. they will tell you they notice, and it will feel really good. then you'll wanna keep doing it. it will compound upon itself from there. right now you're not even the person you really are (i don't know how to make that sentence make sense). you're so weighed down by baggage like mental haze and self loathing there's no way the real you can get through all that. you feel like the "real you" right now I'm sure, but if you lose the weight and keep it off you'll most likely change completely.

you're not nearly as hopeless as some of the others here.

I was, well, not in good shape but the closest to a healthy weight Ive been, my sophomore year of college and I still felt like shit to the point where I dropped out and lost all of my friends and ruined the rest of my life

so based off that the just lose weight and youll feel better advice just doesnt mean much to me, idk
