Yep. Sticker/badge sounds like a hassle and potentially too disposable. Card is too much for just going to the grocery or something when it would be easier just to have the simple visual identification of a mask. I think it's just a combination of extra caution + you can't tell if unmasked people are vaccinated or not. I think the type of person who is willing to get a vaccine would generally not have an issue with masking up either.
