Did Kroc rows with a 160 lb dumbbell for 20 reps, forgot how brutal these are.

I've never done Kroc rows, but I know the form usually isn't super strict on them. I'm sick of screwing up my back with poor form on bent over barbell rows and want to switch to db ones to avoid injuries.

With the Krocs would you think im more likely to injure my lower back than standard ones? Or would that arm stabilizing me be plenty to not have to worry about it? I've never had db rows as part of my regular routine either so I'm not sure how much difference this makes.
