Its hard pressed to even get an american man to wear a Speedo. And a Speedo is about as sexualized your gonna get an average man to dress. Edit: and I mean people not being paid to dress a certain way. So basically put regardless of anyones opinions on it its just harder to take a guy dressed in skimpy clothes seriously even in a work of fiction. Also its harder to sexualize a male.
