Should be up to the maker of the game. I prefer mixed. Some women are hot as hell and willingly dress in a sexy manner. Some women are butt ugly and dress modestly and various combos between the two

Final fantasy XV kinda did this though no females where super major characters. Most women in the game dressed modest. Then you had cindy in her daisy dukes and bikini top

Not for sexual desire but I rather have no disgusting characters in my games.
By this I mean a tiny goblin with a giant nose drawn to be absolutely repugnant which is quite common is upsetting.
Pls no big nose male characters.

I have an issue with ugly things. Buildings, electronics, cars, art, people etc etc. I shit on PS5's ugliness all the time but no one cares.

But yeah when it comes to main protagonists that I have to control. The attractiveness of them matters. There is a reason why i play trevor the least on GTA5. I couldnt complete Assassins Creed Rogue because the main character was ugly af with horrible accent. Its not just women. The media likes to twist the narrative that its just women. Always about the women. But its just people not liking ugly in general.

It is only annoying when they get an actress to play a character then make the character ugly cause they don't want to promote beautiful woman or soem shit. Like clare from remake 2 and the chick from mass effect andromeda.

There's a difference between attractive and sexualized.

Also, that video is cringe to watch, mostly because of the response to the question, but also because of the way the question was asked. Should have been just direct to the point instead of trying to make a joke that ended up being the focus of the response.

Not all games need lewd outfits. If a series is known for it though I hate to see them start toning it down. Like doa 6. Like sexy women in skimpy clothing was one of the main selling points. They gave the men morr sexualized outfits than they had in 5 though.

Oh I dont mind it being a option trust me. I just don't think it's a absolute must have. Unless once again the series or character is known for it. If they made ivy in soul caliber cover up that would be a huge dissapointment.

I usually boil that down to its far easier to get a woman to dress sexualized in real life compared to a man. Its hard pressed to even get an american man to wear a Speedo. And a Speedo is about as sexualized your gonna get an average man to dress.

Edit: and I mean people not being paid to dress a certain way.

So basically put regardless of anyones opinions on it its just harder to take a guy dressed in skimpy clothes seriously even in a work of fiction.

Also its harder to sexualize a male. We have have less going on for us even with abs but women will swear showing abs isnt sexualized.

You also have characters like Sonic, Kirby, Donkey Kong, Rayman, Megaman, and so many other male characters that aren't designed to be attractive.

Kinda is when people swear the one thing men got going isnt sexualized without nudity or having them wear things most men would never wear.

Like ive literally seen plenty of women wear shorts that where not too far off being a thong on public. You won't get many men dressing like that.

Doa 6 has guys in Speedos. But I bet people will say that's not sexualized.

At least I know one woman who was able to admit it was. Says its why she liked wrestling when she was younger.

Jfc, no, Control is a great game and doesn't need any male gaze, dumb lewd outfit. She's the fucking director of the organisation, she doesn't need to appeal to the members of staff by wearing something out of Dead or Alive or some other sexual exploitation game.

That gold suit is one of the best female protagonist outfits in any game.

I got it free with Ps plus, if you have a ps4/5 you may already have it?

It's a fun game, the story is absolutely bonkers but that's expected from the studio (has a nice little tie in with Alan Wake in the DLC). Once you start getting abilities the game starts to get fun, but theres plenty of challenge from the boss battles.

The only downside for me is the long loading times after each time you die,that might be better on ps5/pc if you're on a SSD.

Don't care about some women not being attractive in games, but people need to stop pretending like it's some one-sided issue when every guy has like 3% body fat. Especially when it comes to movies. People just generally want to have attractive characters to look at, even more so in something like a game where you're going to be looking at them for dozens to hundreds of hours. That isn't a bad thing.
