Perhaps (you could test that hypothesis by finding data on IQ loss following induced comas, incidentally), but if surviving the virus requires an induced coma, that distinction is largely academic. I imagine data on induced coma might be difficult because it's most often implemented for traumatic brain injuries and loss of cognitive function is already expected. You would need data on perfectly healthy people being placed in a coma to truly isolate the variable. Conversely, data on people who tested positive but never developed symptoms would isolate the variable of infection from the treatment. --- No locked doors, no windows barred.
