Topic	wtf why do all my desktop icons have a stereo icon now

Assuming it's not malware, check your accessibility options to see if some sort of text to speech mode got turned on for people with poor vision. It wouldn't be the first time a Windows update caused settings to change. Edit: I vaguely remember that some older games would also reset your desktop resolution and not put it back, so it could be something like that. Did a quick scan through the accessibility settings (vision, audio and text-to-speech related pages) and nothing stood out. Only games I've played the past few days are Melvor Idle, Cookie Clicker, Runescape and Battlefield 5.
