Not agreeing or disagreeing with the anti-vax person but do you have a link available to disprove them? Would be useful for a few people I know. The only reason clinical trials typically take so long is because it normally takes a long time to raise money and recruit people to participate. With covid, the whole world was working on it all at once and there was a huge amount of public interest for clinical trials. Tens of thousands of people signed up for the clinical trials very quickly and lots of money was put into it from governments around the world.
