The first half dozen or so times it happens. But after the 10th or 12th time in a 2-3 month period, it gets annoying. Imagine you get a new job, and every other day someone asks for your ID because they don't recognize you and assume you're not supposed to be there. It's ok for about a week or so. Eventually, you'll get to the point of "Seriously? I've been here for a month, you still don't know who I am?" It's basically that, but you may get shot as a result. It's clich, but there are way too many cops that see a black man driving a nice car, not wearing a suit, and assume that car is either stolen or bought with money gained through nefarious means. --- It takes zero effort to be a good person. ...
