What is the point of criticizing someone for changing their mind for the better? Recognizing one's own ignorance and changing their mind is the goal.

Seeking retribution on someone after the fact only hurts you and makes the other person doubt whether they made a good decision.

I wasn't criticizing your change of heart. I was critiquing the post, which comes off kind of self-centered because you're assuming something that is widely talked about isn't merely because you've never really looked into it. It's that type of myopia that got you to drink the Kool Aid to begin with, i.e. I don't see it so it must not be happening.

And if you're only doing this for a pat on the back/good job then you're still missing the point. My post should have zero bearing on you seeing reality and doing the right thing.
