Basic safety retail rules...

• Do not work a store alone.
• After closing do not let employees leave one at a time.
• Vary the times youre walking in before opening and walking out after closing.
• Do not go to the bank the same time everyday.
• Do not attempt to physically stop shoplifters.
• Do not park behind the store.

I mean, all this is basic shit you learn in your first week of retail management. It blows my mind how poorly run some of these smaller businesses are.

When I worked retail my girlfriend worked at the Video Store next door. She was 18 and closing and walking out of the store alone every night. I couldnt believe this stupid video rental place would gamble with their employees safety. I had to set it up where shed call our store and walk out the same time as us.
