Bonus points where it's not even that. It's "if you aren't vaccinated, you'll need to be tested and isolate until your test results come back," which is exactly the same rule that everyone else has had to follow for months (and before vaccination rates got high enough to warrant vaccine-specific rules, everyone was required to test and isolate for 14 days). Commercial traffic has just been exempt from those rules until now because of how crippling such isolation periods would be. Now, with the vast majority of cross-border truckers vaccinated and the isolation period reduced, the impact is greatly reduced, so tightening restrictions to help close off that potential avenue for importing outbreaks is a lot more reasonable.
