Despite the thousands of anti-vaxx truckers who descended on Parliament Hill to protest Justin Trudeau's cross-border vaccination policy, a new poll conduct by Maru Public Opinion says that only 28% or just 1/3 canadians SUPPORT UNVACCINATED truckers to cross the border as up 50,000 were on march to parliament hill!!

Those with most likely to be from Alberta with 35% followed by Atlantic Canada at 30% and Ontario at 29%

The majority of canadians believe truckers should be either fully vaccinated or provide a negative covid test within 72 hours of crossing the border

The "Freedom Convoy" of truckers made its way to Ontario after the backlash against Justin Trudeau who announced way back in October on the measures warning cross border truckers that a vaccination will be implemented which has already been given on flight travelers and cross border travelers

Those aren't vaccinated will be subject to testing and quarantine requirements

But the anti-vaxxers say it is their freedom to not be involved in government scientific research on the public and claim it is a HOAX who say their rights should not be taken away.

Canada's Conservative party which already has anti-vax members in its ranks also say they will not be vaccinated when returning to parliament and have joined the protest

90% of the Canadian Truckers Alliance have been vaccinated which mirrors the majority of canadians who too have been vaccinated and have already had to endure vaccine proof at movie theatres, restaurants and gyms and believe this is a fair trade off.

Justin Trudeau and his family are now in hiding as police warn of lone wolves who have hi jacked the protest and could cause violence as police were in heavy presence

Some american truckers at the border also showed up at the protest holding CONFEDERATE FLAGS in support of canadian truckers as President Biden also has a vaccination policy against Canadians crossing the border

That is basically the same percentage of conspiracy theorists here in the US.

Somehow these idiots drove halfway across the country to ask the Canadian government to let them into the US. Because apparently they also don't know how borders work.

Not that this will actually rob Canada of all of its truckers. It applies exclusively to cross-border travel and the vast majority of truckers are already vaccinated. The handful of holdouts are insignificant.

I'm just relieved it's the Canadians getting attention for doing something stupid and not us for once.

I'm fine with that, as long as you wait for your nazis to get back from the protest.

not up to speed on this issue, but "you must be vaccinated to cross the border" is not an unreasonable rule at all. and it sounds like it's not even that strict.

Bonus points where it's not even that. It's "if you aren't vaccinated, you'll need to be tested and isolate until your test results come back," which is exactly the same rule that everyone else has had to follow for months (and before vaccination rates got high enough to warrant vaccine-specific rules, everyone was required to test and isolate for 14 days). Commercial traffic has just been exempt from those rules until now because of how crippling such isolation periods would be. Now, with the vast majority of cross-border truckers vaccinated and the isolation period reduced, the impact is greatly reduced, so tightening restrictions to help close off that potential avenue for importing outbreaks is a lot more reasonable.

Take a couple of zeros off and that is far far more accurate. They had set up the crane shots hoping to get that many and then had to switch to shots from a low angle to avoid showing the enthusiasm that comes from a small group of people braving the January cold.
