1. The Avengers - I'm a big fan of the movie's snarky sense of humor, everyone gets enough screentime, amazing performances from Ruffalo/Downey, Jr./just about everybody, great action, perfect mid-credits scene, just about everything in this is gold. Only real problem is how Loki suddenly became that much more of a jerk in this movie.

2. Captain America: The First Avenger - A completely differently tone and atmosphere from all the others, being in World War II and a few decades before everything else; nice change of pace. As a big fan of Cap himself, I loved practically the entire thing and it instantly became my favorite of the films before Avengers.

3. Incredible Hulk - Edward Norton I thought made a brilliant Banner; it baffles me how Ruffalo managed to just about equal that performance. Generally liked the plot for this movie more than the others and was quite impressed by the film; I saw this about 5-6 days before Avengers came out.

4. Iron Man - Robert Downey, Jr. made an absolutely perfect Tony Stark and it was one of the most well-done origin stories in all the Marvel movies I believe. Generally solid in just about all areas, and didn't have many weak scenes.

5. Thor - Loki was much better in this film than he was in Avengers. Otherwise just a decent film I can't really say too much about.

6. Iron Man 2 - Quite entertaining, plus I believe the person who played Rhodes in this movie was better than the one in Iron Man 1, but they did make Tony a little harder to like in this movie and it just overall felt weaker in humor, level of threat, etc.

... after Captain America, it becomes impossible for me to rank them, except for Iron Man 1 being better than Iron Man 2. But if you had to tell me to pick an order I'd go with the one above. I'm generally a big fan of all these films; Iron Man 2, the only one I can think of a somewhat long list of problems for, was still quite enjoyable.

I've yet to see any of these films more than once, with Hulk and Avengers being the only recent ones. Should take a crack at them another time and prepare a concrete ranking.
