The 360 version looks much more accessible and has split screen multiplayer, which is pretty cool.

I'd probably prefer the PC version, but don't act like the 360 version has no appeal.

Also, PC version is like $25

These are decent points, they DID do a few nice things with recipes and split screen always makes local multiplayer a possibility...

The fact remains though, that vanilla minecraft gets boring after a while. It is like buying a bucket of basic legos whereas mods are all those shiny neat shaped or transparent pieces that add depth to your creations.

Even simple things like texture packs or reskins add a fair amount, let alone things like remote controlled vehicles or jetpacks or zeppelins or complete overhauls of the game mechanics which turn it into an rpg complete with classes exp dungeons and loot....

And with the PC version you can also dabble in the world editor for massive reshaping of your minecraft world which makes constructing adventure maps or other type things much easier and faster than constructing by hand would take. Hell, can't even do adventure maps at all on the 360 version....whole avenues of community interaction are lost.

Also map size.
PC world limit: 68,719,476,736 x 68,719,476,736
360 world limit: 852x852
