I wouldn't bet on it. These big companies are just trending off of each other and it creates a big pool of stupidity. These are the same people trying to get rid of used games. You know, part of what helps drive the market and enables people to check out types of games that they otherwise wouldn't. They just want to control everything and this trend will continue and what we're already seeing and what we'll continue to see are companies that aren't quite big enough, no longer being able to compete with the huge companies. I guess one good thing to come out of this will be an influx of indie games.
this. Gaming has pretty much become a few companies controlling everything, and then indie developers. I like super meat boy as much as the next guy, but i mean indie games suffer from being quite primitive.
